Dust on the paths of the levadas

Whoever walks deeper into the islands forests or follows the paths of the levadas will be treated by many small and big waterfalls surrounded by stone walls covered with soft moss. Little light falls from the top into the waterfall creating a amazing atmosphere. One can understand why these levadas are popular. Many of these paths are cut into the sides of mountains and trees have overgrown them, creating surreal forrest tunnels.
